(Capsicum annuum) Italian Pepperoncini peppers are prolific, 2-3 ft tall plants producing 3-4 inch pods with mild heat (100-500 SHU) and tangy, sweet flavor. Popular in Italian cuisine, they're often pickled or used fresh on pizzas, salads, and sandwiches. These open-pollinated, non-GMO heirlooms mature from light green to red and are easy to grow.
Peppers (Capsicum annuum) grow as annuals in USDA Hardiness Zones 4–8 but are perennial in zones 9–11.
