(Cucurbita pepo) Golden Zucchini is a classic American heirloom known for its bright golden color and great taste. The fruits grow on 3–4 ft bush-type plants, producing medium-long, cylindrical squash best harvested at 6–8 inches. Inside, the flesh is creamy white with excellent flavor. These slender squashes are easy to spot among dark green vines, and the variety is both productive and reliable. Plants have large foliage ranging from medium green to yellow and require plenty of space due to their bushy growth.
Genus: Cucurbita.
Type: Open-Pollinated, Heirloom, non-GMO.
Origin: Developed in the United States in the 1970s.
