(Capsicum chinense) The Trinidad Scorpion Moruga Red is a highly spicy pepper originating from Moruga, Trinidad and Tobago. This plant can reach heights of up to 3’ feet and produces many extremely hot pods with a sweet, fruity heat. The peppers have a Scoville rating between 1.2 - 2 million;—making them about 400 times hotter than jalapenos. These peppers are freshly harvested, non-GMO, heirloom, and open-pollinated.

Origin: Originated from the Moruga district in Trinidad, an island in the Caribbean. It was created by the brothers Nigel and Russell "Rocky" Rooplal, who cross-bred a Trinidad 7-Pot and a Congo Pepper.
